800-sqare-metre glass balustrade for new business center in Sweden
In the Swedish city of Borås, located a 45-minute drive from Gothenburg, a large centre is currently under construction. The centre is situated next to the city’s major business park, Viared, and will serve the 6,000 employees from 150 companies with services ranging from cleaning, administration, and parcel handling to hairdressing, fitness, and a lunch café.
The building's architecture follows a biophilic design, with a strong emphasis on the interaction between nature and the building's spaces and green areas. Much of the construction is made from wood. At the top, there is a rooftop terrace with plants and views, protected by a total of 800 square metres of glass balustrades, distributed across 150 pieces measuring 2 x 3 metres each.
The glass, produced by Glaseksperten, is also laminated with the exceptionally durable Saflex® Structural safety interlayer.
