TietgenSkolen in Odense
Unique educational building with a design inspired by flowing northern lights.
The new educational building will accommodate 700-800 students and cover approximately 8,500 square metres. The timber-clad façades will feature rounded corners, and the building's organic 'cloverleaf shape' consists of four volumes connected by a central atrium, which offers a strong sense of transparency to the outdoor environment. The roof will include both terraces and green gardens.
The project will feature a cafeteria, a multipurpose hall, and parking spaces. Additionally, around 4,000 m² of green outdoor areas will be developed, integrated with the other institutions in the area.
Once completed, the new school will bring together several educational programmes, including EUD and EUX, as well as various administrative functions for the entire Tietgen group, all within the new building at City Campus.
The building is planned to be certified with DGNB Gold.
For the project, we have supplied a total of 1,850 m² of triple-glazed Low-E units, triple-glazed units with Suncool™, and enamelled double-glazed units in RAL colours 7022 and 7044. Some of the units have specific acoustic requirements, and all double-glazed units are fitted with our energy-saving Super Spacer®.
