1.500 m² glass balustrade with Saflex^® Structural interlayer Rødovre Port

Rødovre Port is a highly ambitious and architecturally striking residential area designed by Arkitema. The light and golden colors running throughout the project create a bright, friendly, and warm environment featuring rental apartments, shops, and offices. The residential buildings have a varied appearance with balconies and communal rooftop terraces. The walkways are adorned with green climbing plants, which break up the façades and make the entire residential area more organic and dynamic.

We have produced 1,500 m² of glass balustrades with Saflex® Structural interlayer for Rødovre Port. The balustrades feature exposed edges, ensuring that the view remains unobstructed while maintaining top-notch safety. For this impressive project, we selected toughened laminated glass with Saflex® Structural interlayer, which preserves the balustrade function in the event of breakage and minimizes the risk of delamination and discoloration, as the film does not absorb moisture.

The project includes the development of an urban area with rental apartments, commercial spaces, and shops. It will feature 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-room apartments across one and two floors, with outdoor spaces in the form of terraces and balconies, and a walkway that connects the development. In total, there will be 534 homes, covering an area of approximately 33,400 m².

In addition, there will be commercial spaces and shops covering around 4,100 m². The development starts in the east with a new square and buildings ranging from 2 to 3 stories, and ends in the west with three towers, standing at 14, 16, and 19 stories.

Two high-rise buildings will be connected by a pedestrian and bicycle bridge over Avedøre Havnevej. The project will also include 8,600 m² of basement space with 200 parking spaces, 700 bicycle parking spaces, storage areas, and technical rooms.
