Navitas

Århus' centre for energy, innovation and education

The star-shaped building was designed by Kjær & Richter in collaboration with Christensen & Co Architects. Navitas serves as an international beacon for energy savings and the use of energy technologies, constructed to meet Energy Class 1 standards.

The building adheres to the principles of integrated energy design, meaning that it continuously adapts to its users while consuming the lowest possible amount of energy. On the roof of Navitas, 1,280 solar panels supply energy to the building, and the lower floors are cooled using seawater.

Navitas is equipped with intelligent regulation of oxygen and light levels to ensure an optimal indoor climate and working environment.

Glaseksperten has contributed fire-rated glass walls and internal glass balustrades to the project.
