Kv. Linoljan Malmö
Glass balustrade with digital print for sustainable residences in Malmö
Limhamns Sjöstad has, in recent years, transformed into one of Malmö’s most attractive districts, having previously been an old industrial area. Here, you’ll find homes, shops, schools, and kindergartens, as well as green spaces and proximity to the sea.
Mikael Wikeborg / Wikeborg Arkitektur is the architect behind this exciting project. The architect has created several remarkable buildings in and around Malmö, including in Västra Hamnen.
The apartments will be light and inviting, with layouts that maximize the number of homes per square meter and offer flexibility for changing family situations. For the balconies, a glass solution has been chosen that both allows light to enter and provides screening.
This project is set to be certified Miljöbyggnad Silver and built with Byggmästarkvalitet for long-term operation.
For this project, we have produced glass balustrades with digitally printed screening. It was important to the architect that the glass had a "satin" look without blocking the light. We achieved this with a graphic design in dots.
