Das Deutsche Architekturmuseum (DAM) Frankfurt
Museum renovation with a focus on energy optimisation and improved indoor climate.
The Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) in Frankfurt has undergone extensive renovations, including fire protection measures and improvements to the building’s energy efficiency. The indoor climate for museum staff had previously been challenging, particularly in the ground-floor foyer, which became uncomfortably warm in the summer due to the glass ceilings and too cold in the winter.
Given the high demands for climate control, MicroShade® was chosen for the project. We supplied 70 MicroShade® glass roof panels with triple glazing and additional energy coatings.
With MicroShade®, optimal solar control is achieved, ensuring a healthy indoor climate with as much natural daylight as possible. The solution maintains the ideal temperature year-round and significantly reduces energy costs.
