Facade glass for Fortunen Nord - Akademivej in Lyngby

The Fortunen Nord project, designed by RUBOW Architects, is located on Akademivej and consists of 150 social housing units, including 100 youth housing units, 20 family homes, and 30 homes for residents with low income. The new buildings will rise from 3 to 7 storeys.

The building is designed as a long, curved, and cohesive structure that follows the future route of the light rail. The closed glass façade of the walkways forms a natural barrier against noise from the light rail.

The ground floor façade is made of graffiti-treated smooth concrete panels, which are broken up by glass sections that open up the building to spaces requiring daylight. The combination of closed and open façade sections provides varied experiences as you move along the façade. The vertical glass panels on the façade reflect the life behind the glass façade on the walkway.

Fortunen Nord will feature a green roof and varies in height from 3 to 7 storeys.

For this project, we have produced 3,800 m² of triple-glazed units with solar control, with heights of up to 3,126 mm. Some of the units are made with bronze and green-tinted glass to create depth in the façade's expression. All the units are fitted with Super Spacer® Black spacer bars.
