Strength
The strength of the glass is achieved through both the choice of laminate interlayer and the tempering process. Interlayer are available in various strengths, depending on the desired glass solution. We offer a range from low strength and load-bearing capacity to interlayers that can maintain a protective function even after breakage. For instance, if safety glass is mounted vertically, a interlayer with high strength and load-bearing capacity is required to ensure optimal safety. The toughening process also contributes to the glass's strength, increasing it by up to seven times compared to standard glass. 

Safety

Safety is ensured through both tpughened and laminating. Toughened glass shatters into countless small pieces when broken, but the shards have not sharp edges. Laminating makes the glass significantly more durable. Even if the glass is shattered, the laminate interlayer will hold the pane together, and the glass shards will remain attached to the interlayer.

Different types of glass and thicknesses, as well as various foil thicknesses, are used depending on the specific loads, locations, and functional requirements related to insulation, solar control, and colour, among other factors. 

Toughened Laminated Glass is primarily used for external and internal glass balustrades, glass doors, glass panels, freestanding glass walls, glass roofs, and glass floors.
