Acoustic Glass Units
Acoustic glass units can be essential for ensuring a high quality of life inside your home
While double and triple glazed units inherently provides som level of soundproof, it is often not sufficient on its own. Enhanced soundproofing is achieved by combining glass of different thicknesses and increasing the distance between the layers. Additionally, glass can be laminated with either standard laminating foil or a special soundproofing foil.
Soundproof units - construction
Soundproof unit is constructed asymmetrically. For soundproofing purposes, we use glass of varying thicknesses, as this improves sound reduction.
With three layers of glass in the soundproof unit, noise reduction is further increased - the glass and air gap must still have different dimensions. Additionally, if one of the air gaps in the soundproof unit is more than 12 mm wide, gas within the gap can enhance the soundproofing effect. If one of the glass panes in the double or triple glazed units are laminated, the effectiveness is optimised.
Glass for soundproofing double and triple-glazed units can also be laminated with special soundproofing foil that further reduce noise.
Sound-proofing double and triple-glazed units can make the everyday life better and healthier. Double and triple-glazed units with soundproofing features are available in a range of versions tailored to the specific noise level that needs to be reduced.
Especially suitable for office environments and facades facing busy roads or other sources of noise. Traffic noise and other forms of disruption can be significantly reduced with soundproof double and triple-glazed units.
