Acoustic Glass Units

Acoustic Glass Units can be essential for ensuring a high quality of life inside your home

While Individual Glazed Units inherently provides som level of acoustic, it is often not sufficient on its own. Enhanced acoustic is achieved by combining glass of different thicknesses and increasing the distance between the layers. Additionally, glass can be laminated with either standard laminating intelayer or a special acoustic interlayer.

Acoustic Glass Units - construction
Acoustic Glass Unit is constructed asymmetrically. For acoustic purposes, we use glass of varying thicknesses, as this improves sound reduction.

With three layers of glass in the acoustic unit, noise reduction is further increased - the glass and air gap must still have different dimensions. Additionally, if one of the air gaps in the acoustic unit is more than 12 mm wide, gas within the gap can enhance the acoustic effect. If one of the glass panes in the Individual Glazed Units are laminated, the effectiveness is optimised.

Glass for Acoustic Individual Glazed Units can also be laminated with special acoustic interlayer that further reduce noise.

Acoustic Glass Units can make the everyday life better and healthier. Individual Glazed Units with acoustic features are available in a range of versions tailored to the specific noise level that needs to be reduced.

Especially suitable for office environments and facades facing busy roads or other sources of noise. Traffic noise and other forms of disruption can be significantly reduced with Acoustic Glass Units.

Did you know that a reduction of 10 dB represents a halving of the noise level?

To the human ear, a reduction of 10 dB is perceived as halving the noice. Even a basic soundproofing unit can reduce noise by up to 3 dB. Therefore, it can be highly beneficial to switch to a soundproof double or triple-glazed unit if you are exposed to significant noise.
