Protection against flames, smoke, and heat radiation

As a certified Pilkington fire glass partner, we offer a wide range of fire-protective products tailored to your needs. Pilkington fire-protective glass can be used both outdoors and indoors, providing maximum natural light and unobstructed visibility.

Pilkington Pyrostop® is a clear multi-layered, fully insulating safety glass that delivers superior fore protection (integrity and insulation: EI), combined with excellent natural light transmission and visibility. Depending on the thickness, it offers safety up to Class 1 according to DS/EN 12600.

High quality

  • Consist of multiple thin layers of float glass, providing the same high of light transmission as clear float glass.
  • Pyrostop 23 and 27 mm are constructed with Optiwhite to achieve high light transmission.
  • High level of documentation.

High safety

  • Pilkington Pyrostop over 7 mm meets the requirements for safety glass according to DS/ EN12600.
  • Provides complete fire protection even if part of the glass is cracked.
  • Offers passive fire protection, ensuring escape routes in buildings.
  • Well-known and approved in fire authorities constructions.

Design flexibility

  • Can be combined with our other functional glass options for thermal insulation, sun shielding, soundproofing, safety, security, self-cleaning, and printed glass.
  • Suitable for use in wood and steel racks.

Pilkington Pyrostop® 30-10 is used for fire-rated partition walls, facades, and windows. It can be used in wood and steel frames. The fire-protective layer in the glass should not be exposed to UV radiation. Therefore, glass used for facades is equipped with a thin foil that blocks UV radiation from the outside.

Pilkington fire glass is available in two variants, both of which come in thicknesses ranging from 9 to 27 mm and withstand temperatures from -40°C to +50°C.

Pilkington Pyrodur® meets the requirements for reduced radiation (klasse EW).

Pilkington Pyrostop® meets the insulation requirements (class EI). Radiation reduction (class EW) ensures safe escape routes with radiation levels as low as 3-6 kW/m2 at a distance of 1 metre.
