AGC Pyrobel®
Protection against flames, smoke, and heat radiation
AGC Pyrobel® is fire-protective glass suitable for both outdoors and indoors use, offering maximum natural light transmission and unobstructed visibility. It is laminated glass with a clear interlayer that transforms into a rigid and opaque fire barrier at around 120 degree Celsius. This helps maintain heat readiation at a very low and safe level and meets the integrity criteria specified in EN 1363.
High quality
- Consist of multiple thin layers of float glass, providing the same high light transmission as clear float glass.
- Pyrobel 16 and 25 are available in the Vision Line, which has a higher light transmission.

High safety
- AGC Pyrobelite® from 7 mm meets the requirements for safety glazing according to DS/EN12600.
- Provides full fire protection even if part of the glass is cracked.
- Offers passive fire protection, ensuring safe escape routes in buildings.

Design flexibility
- Can be combined with our other functional glass for thermal insulation, sun shielding, soundproofing, personal safety, security, self-cleaning, and printed glass.
- Can be used in wooden and steel racks, as well as in sealed solutions.
AGC Pyrobel® can be used for both outdoor and indoor applications. AGC Pyrobel® 16 EG Vision Line and 25 EG Vision Line are recommended for outdoor solutions.
The fire-protective layer of the glass should not be exposed to UV radiation. Therefore, facade glass is equipped with a thin foil that blocks UV radiation from outside.
Can be used in wooden and steel racks. Selected Pyrobel products can also be used in sealed solutions. Can be combined with our other functional glass for thermal insulation, sun shielding, soundproofing, personal safety, security, self-cleaning, and printed glass.
AGC fire glass is available in two variants
AGC Pyrobelite®
AGC Pyrobelite® is available in 7,9 mm thickness and meets the requirements for lower radiation (class EW).
AGC Pyrobel®
AGC Pyrobel® up to 21,1 mm thickness meets the requirements for insulation (class EI). From 26,6 mm thickness, it meets the requirements for radiation reduction (class EW), ensuring escape routes with radiation levels down to 3-6 kW/m2 at 1 metre distance. Pyrobel® Vision Line is a fire glass with low iron content.
