From Local Glazier to Professional Glass Expert
Highlights from Glaseksperten's history
1990
On 1st December 1990, Christian Larsen started Glaseksperten as a local glazier in the heart of Hjørring – a business offering a gallery, framing, and general glazing services.
1992
Just a few years after starting, space became too limited in Skolegade, and Glaseksperten moved to new, larger premises at Vendelbopladsen, Hjørring.
1996
Glaseksperten continued its progress, and in 1996, Christian Larsen took over BRC Glas, along with its buildings on Vandværksvej.
1998
In 1998, Klæstrup Maskinsnedkeri was purchased to expand production with windows and doors. Later, the window factory moved to Vandværksvej, and on 1st January 2013, the window factory was renamed Glaseksperten Vinduer og Døre.
2006
Space once again became too limited for the glass factory, so in 2006, Glaseksperten moved to a new, impressive 4,500 m² facility on Sprogøvej, Hjørring.
2008
In 2008, Henrik Sørensen became a co-owner, and at the same time, it was decided that the factory would be expanded by 4.500 m².
2015
The production of windows and doors was growing so rapidly that a separate factory was needed. In 2015, Glaseksperten therefore purchased the old Arla factory in Hjørring, and Glaseksperten Vinduer og Døre acquired its own 10,500 m² facility.
2017
The glass factory on Sprogøvej was expanded again in 2017 with an additional 3,000 m², including a brand-new glazed unit line.
2019
In 2019, the glass factory was expanded by an additional 8,000 m², and 2019 also saw us consolidate satellite offices and glass production under one roof, with a total of 20.000 m².
2022 and the future
Glaseksperten and Vinduer og Døre have decided to become two independent companies. A new journey awaits us both.
In the future, Glaseksperten will place even greater focus on digitalisation and fully utilising production, while the green transition becomes increasingly important.
Let's create results together.
